Rossini Opera Festival 2027: where to stay in Pesaro
Updated 13 October 2026. Every August the Rossini Opera Festival brings opera lovers from all over the world to Pesaro. If you want to attend the performances without a car or late-night transfers, the most convenient choice is to stay in the historic centre: Cortirola Luxury Apartment (Via Cortirola 8) is a few steps from the Rossini Theatre and the Conservatory.
The 2027 festival dates
According to OperaWire, the 2027 season will run from 12 to 24 August 2027, with a new production of "La donna del lago", a revival of the 2018 staging of "Adina", a new production of "Tancredi" and the "Petite messe solennelle" to close. Dates and venues for each performance should always be checked on the official Rossini Opera Festival website: in 2026, for example, the opening took place at a venue other than the Rossini Theatre.
Why stay in the historic centre
Pesaro's centre is walkable: from Via Cortirola the Rossini Theatre, the Conservatory, Casa Rossini and Piazza del Popolo are a few minutes away on foot. After the show you walk home, with no parking to find and no taxi to wait for. The station is 750 m away and Ponente beach 1.1 km: for a break by the sea between performances, the apartment's free bikes are enough.
When to book
August is the busiest month in Pesaro and the festival dates attract guests from all over Europe, so book as soon as you know which performances you want to see. Cortirola sleeps up to 3 (one bedroom with a king-size bed and a sofa bed) and has a private garage: for ZTL access and parking, tell us the licence plate in advance.
