Day trip
San Bartolo Panoramic Road: from Pesaro to Gabicce Monte between villages and sea
Updated 31 October 2026. One of the best trips from central Pesaro: stops, indicative times and practical tips.

A road between hills and sea
Just outside central Pesaro begins the Monte San Bartolo Natural Park: green hills dropping steeply into the sea. The Panoramic Road crosses it up to Gabicce Monte, with spots where the view opens onto the coast. An introduction to the park is on italia.it (in Italian).
The stops
Fiorenzuola di Focara: a small village of lanes and squares overlooking the sea. Casteldimezzo: another historic village in the park. Gabicce Monte: panoramic terraces that on clear days look along the whole riviera. Along the road there are historic villas such as Villa Caprile.
By car, motorbike or bike
By car it is a half-day trip with stops. By bike it is a classic for trained riders, with climbs and stretches shared with traffic. In summer the road is busier: start early.
Starting from Cortirola
Cortirola Luxury Apartment is at Via Cortirola 8, in the historic centre: from the harbour you climb towards San Bartolo in a few minutes, and when you are back there is the private garage. Read our guides for the rest of the city.
